Shetiyyah-Fire Team Leader

Karen comes to Novo's ChurchNext collective to lead a team of missional leaders who will carry out a discipleship movement called, "Shetiyyah-Fire.” Shetiyyah-Fire is a compilation of discipleship trainings and resources that was adopted from Karen's ministry training program known as “The Apostolic Institute.”

In January 2019 this work became a "Missional Movement" when she partnered with Novo's ministry mission. Shetiyyah-Fire is one of the newest teams leading under Novo's ChurchNext ministry division to "Reimagine Church." Shetiyyah-Fire's purposed is to restore Apostolic discipleship foundations to the Body of Christ with special emphasis on churches of color, globally. Working intentionally with the local churches everywhere, its work is expressed through a variety of discipleship approaches and resources relating to: Peacemaking Discipleship, Purpose Discipleship, Prophetic Discipleship, Life Discipleship, Discipleship Foundations, Peer Discipleship, and Evangelism.

Through Shetiyyah-Fire, God is restoring His message and ministry of discipleship by raising greater awareness of a term Karen is calling “Apostolic Discipleship.” Karen believes by re-introducing this concept and normalizing the term within church culture, it will inevitably position churches to experience fresh moves of God's spirit that is marked by transformed and mobilized lives. Indeed, all this would take place as a result of looking at the ministry of discipleship with fresh lenses and putting to practice new expression of discipleship ministry. This is the mandate of the Shetiyyah-Fire team.
